Users who, due to the characteristics of their research, need to consult the documentary collections, must present a letter accrediting the study or work center from which they come, as well as a national institution that endorses their research, this must be signed and stamped by the head of the institution and addressed to the Director of the Provincial Historical Archive, which will include the following data:
Name and surname of the applicant.
Services you require.
Reason for the request where the subject under study is defined.
In the case of foreigners, in addition to this document, they will have to show the endorsement of a Cuban institution and the academic visa required for these purposes (Academic Visa). It is important to clarify that this letter expires one year after it has been submitted to the center, or when the object of the investigation is not the same, so it will be necessary to show it each time it loses validity and information interests are maintained.
Regarding requests for notarial deed certifications and other documents, it is essential that the user present the location data for them, which consist of:
- Name of the notary who executed the public deed.
- Year in which it was issued.
- Order number of the mentioned deed.
The interests pursued must be specified, and for which this documentation is requested. Deeds will not be issued without offering these prior data, taking into account that this documentation is mostly old, which leads to a degree of deterioration of it. They are all original documents, so it is necessary to contribute to their conservation, which is threatened if it is manipulated in vain.
Through Resolution 345/2020, of the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, establish the tariff treatment for services provided in archives,
I RESOLVE
FIRST: To approve the Official Rate of Retail Prices in National Currency, of specialized archival services, reprography and issuance of certified copies provided by the Historical Archives Network, as well as like other institutions that have archival documents in all kinds of medium.
SECOND: To establish for the members of the Union of Historians of Cuba, when the associate is not officially linked to research projects with approved financing, the service free of charge, during the term of one calendar year, up to one hundred (100) folios; when the aforementioned figure is exceeded, pay five (5) Pesos, National Currency, for each additional page.
THIRD: The Official Rate of Retail Prices in Cuban Pesos, CUP of the specialized archival services, reprography and issuance of certified copies provided by the Historical Archives Network, as well as other institutions that have archive documents in all types of media of the Republic of Cuba, is the following:
1. Certification of documents, for natural and legal persons, both Cuban and foreign, with permanent residence in the territory of the Republic of Cuba, pay in Cuban Pesos, CUP, the following rates:

Partial certification of notarial deed $ 300.00
Literal certification of notarial deed per Sheet $ 40.00
$5.00 for each year of seniority.

2. Certification of documents, for foreign natural and legal persons, with residence abroad; pay in Cuban pesos, the following rates:

5. For online service from abroad, natural persons and legal entities, pay in Euros or USD, the following rates:

DELIVERY OF THE DIGITAL COPIES WILL BE THE SUM OF THE SERVICES REQUESTED PLUS THE BANK'S COMMISSIONS.
FIFTH: Approve the provision of services immediately, at the request of the interested party and prior agreement between the parties for document digitization and certification services, with the exception of those referring to funds: List of Passengers and Notarial Protocols; for natural or legal persons with permanent residence in the national territory, the additional amount is fifty ($50.00) CUP and for natural or legal persons with permanent residence abroad, six hundred ($600.00) CUP.
SIXTH: The differentiated rate of two ($ 2.00) pesos national currency is ratified for Cuban citizens, who are in the category of students undergraduate.
SEVENTH: It is ratified for historians, Cuban citizens, with permanent residence in Cuba, who are retired and carry out non-profit research work, a differentiated rate of five ($5.00) pesos in national currency.
